Marco Croce is a digital music composer and musical performer. His sound focuses on textural language and often blends ambient and contemporary styles.
He gained an interest in music production during high school where he started performing at monthly block parties.
In 2024, Marco released his first non-commercial release, The Silver Surfer Tape. Following this he has continued working and studying under the director of the Peabody computer music department, Sam Pluta.
Before college Marco attended the recording arts music pre-college program at Carnegie Mellon University. This program influenced his interest in textural based music. Marco’s taste has evolved to include a more ambient flare which is notable in his more recent works.
In 2025, Marco was credited with the sound production for a dance performance piece performed in the Baltimore Museum of Art. Additionally, in 2026 Marco has gained experience with live Dj-ing as well as other live performance opportunities. This work is expected to continue throughout the following years.
As a child Marco took guitar lessons, but the experience didn’t directly influence his interest in computer music, only returning to guitar later in his life. He now uses guitar in his music regularly and often composes with a guitar on hand.
He is currently studying at The Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins and is expected to graduate in spring 2028. He was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Marco currently resides in Baltimore, Maryland.
